I like to read about small things that make other people happy, so today I would like to share what little things have made me happy recently:
The Arrow - All rock radio. Available on internet. There are songs that I have not heard for quite a long time, songs that bring memories, songs from my early and late teens, and later years. And now most of them are in The Arrow. All types of rock-from classic rock like Led Zeppelin, Black Sabbath or Queen, by Guns n'Roses, Aerosmith to the contemporary ones like The Killers, Red Hot Chilli Peppers or Manic Street Preachers. If, like me, you are rock fans, you will love it!
Fresh flowers on the table - very simple but makes a big difference :)
Vintage shops and second hands-once I wrote here about small number of such stores in Barcelona. In London there are lots of them. It is a good place to hunt for second hand designers clothes (e.g. in Notting Hill). However, today I want to show you the retro inspired dress that I have bought in Camden Town.
Daily Art application-daily dose of fine art. It is a smartphone app where every day you get to see one work of art from the best museums in the world with a short, interesting description or anecdote. Now a bit of patriotism-the app was created by Polish Zuzanna Stanska.
1000 Awesome Things-the website created by Neil Pasricha, who said of starting the site: "if you flipped open the newspaper it was filled with the same stuff every day. The polar ice caps were melting, there were pirates storming the seas, the economy was on the verge of collapse, and there were wars going on all over the world." As a result, he created a website discussing "popping bubble wrap, or snow days, or the smell of a bakery."
Maybe instead of waiting from happiness with capital H we should enjoy little pleasures. Our life is composed of small things...
