Every woman should...

The blogosphere and glossy magazines are full of tips. "Every woman should have in her wardrobe ..." "This season you must have ...", "If you didn´t wear it for a year, get rid of it" "This is timeless!", "Always/never wear a handbag and shoes in the same color ", etc, etc. I'm deeply against this kind of advice. For instance, I should have a white shirt in my wardrobe because it supposedly goes with everything and it's timeless. Perhaps, but not for me. Since I was a child I haven't liked white, collared blouses and I can live without them (it would be difficult without at least one "little black dress" or a trench coat, though). Getting rid of clothes I didn't wear for a year? I would have significantly more free space in my wardrobe. That's for sure. But I would almost certainly regret it after a month or two because something that I threw out would go perfectly with other clothes. Besides, I have lots of items that tell some stories-new collections wouldn´t replace them. What about shoes and handbags? Should their colours match or not? As we want. In the past they always had to match. Now they shouldn't. But who cares? If we don't hold to so many rules anymore, why shuld we estblish another one. And which statements about fashion are you against?

Buty i torebki-jakie nosić? Takie, jakie chcemy.

Men are different

'You already have something like that'. 'Why do you need the same item in different colours?'. 'Your bags are too big-you can never find your phone when I´m calling you'. 'Of course you can go like that. We're not going to the Oscars ceremony'. Do you also here that from time to time? I don't have any doubt that men (especially one I know very well) have a totally different view on fashion and clothes than women :)

Now and then

Do you remember life without the Internet, social media, blogs or even mobile phones? The times when we all used only landlines and sent paper letters? When we were finding our way using paper maps and looking up large encyclopedias for information? It wasn't so long ago, after all, but the image of that world is becoming blurred in our memory. We cannot imagine life without the internet. How many things can we do faster and easier now! We communicate, work, pay bills, do shopping, travel much easier and more efficiently than before. In addition, surprisingly, the world has shrunk. Not only do we contact our family and friends who live overseas, but also exchange information and views with people we do not know the "real world" and probably, if not for the internet, we would have never got to know. We are 'moving' our lives to the Internet. We get to know from Facebook and Instagram what our friends have been up to (but do we necessarily want to know what they had for breakfast, lunch or dinner?). We are becoming more and more addicted to virtual world. On one hand, we "move" our real world to the Internet, but on the other we are searching for each time stronger sensations and stimulations on the Internet. Are simple emotions, enchantment with nature, painting or someone's reaction not enough for us anymore? As always, I'm very curious what your views are.

No właśnie. Do internetu coraz bardziej przenosimy nasze życie.

All that jeans

Never say never. Especially when it comes to clothes. I thought I would never wear jeans from head to toe again, since I stopped wearing dungerees when I was 12. Also wearing denim dungerees while pregnant has always been my 'no no'. I'm really surpised then by how good I feel in this denim jupsuit. I wonder why we change our minds about certain clothes. Is it more about a change of circumstances or a change of taste? Or maybe it's just because we are influenced, we want it or not, by constantly changing fashion?

Nunca digas nunca.

Something to talk about

It took me a long time to write here about the criticism. Actually, this topic has been in my mind since the beginning of my adventure with blogging. By posting anything on the Internet, especially by posting our pictures, we are subject to the assessment of others. And that's what it's all about, right? Expressing one's opinion is (or at least should be) what commenting option is for. So, if we allow commenting, we should be prepared that not all of them will be positive. So why very often critical opinions are accepted with indignation or anger? Sometimes with superiority ("That's my style, I'm not going to change anything about it"). On one hand, the internet is full of trolling comments written by rude and boorish people who give vent to their negative emotions. Anonymity gives some sense of impunity, but on the other hand, do you have to blog or be logged in somewhere to have a right to express your opinion? Or sign it with your full name? After all, how much to reveal about yourself on the internet is entirely up to you. I can't help but wonder why even the most constructive and "advisory" criticism is becoming a synonym of rudeness and frustration? How often we don't express our opinions openly because we are afraid to offend someone or we don't want to be accused of various "low" feelings such as jealousy.Or maybe we don't write the whole truth, because we are afraid of crude, but still fair assessment of our person? What do you think about criticising and receiving criticism?

Zastanawia mnie dlaczego nawet najbardziej konstruktywna i "doradcza" krytyka zostaje wrzucona do jednego worka z chamstwem i frustracją?
